This workshop will walk participants through the nuts and bolts of the entire grant-writing process, from identifying target grantors all the way through grant submission. We will explore the most effective ways to inspire funders to care as much about your mission as you do, so they want to partner with you to achieve your goals! Please join us with a program or proposal in mind, and be prepared for a hands-on workshop where you will work with other participants to gather ideas and develop materials for your next steps in funding your futures.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

·        Examine and interpret grant application forms, to understand what grantor are looking for from each question

·        Create an “elevator pitch” for their organization or proposal

·        Create a list of their organization’s “USPs” (unique selling points) to support their proposals

·        Describe their proposal objective(s) using “SMART” goals and then develop specific, measurable outcomes to demonstrate how they will achieve those goals

·        Develop a basic budget for their proposals

·        Offer and receive feedback as part of a mock grant review panel
