Animal Defenders St. Maarten

Animal Defenders St. Maarten exists because of our many volunteers and sponsors; we have no payroll and all proceeds are used for veterinary bills and pet food. Dedicated volunteers protect, defend and help animals wherever needed. Our main focus lies with Spay/Neuter of stray animals and pets, as there are too many and not enough homes. We give aftercare and try to get them adopted or returned them and start feeding groups. Animal Defenders wishes to stimulate empathy and compassion to keep moral standards high. The foundation regularly organized educational presentations and awareness campaigns. If animals thrive, then the whole island will benefit. As Gandhi once said, "the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by how their animals are treated."
