We are excited to extend an invitation to you for a workshop on Psychological First Aid (PFA) facilitated by HIAS Aruba and co-organized by NPOwer.
The workshop will take place on Monday, June 26th, from 9 AM to 3 PM at the R4CR/SFC/ NPOwer office. Participants will learn about PFA, which is an approach that eases the suffering of disaster survivors both physically and emotionally, improves their short-term functioning, and promotes emotional recovery after a disaster event. The core actions of PFA include helper self-care, connecting with survivors, safety and comfort, stabilization, information gathering, offering practical assistance, connecting with social supports, providing information on coping, and linking to collaborative services.
We give priority to those organizations who have not participated in the March workshop. As we have a maximum capacity of 12 persons (for those who are actively working with vulnerable persons), we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your place. Drinks and a (small) lunch will be provided. To register for this workshop, please use our NPOwer-2023-Workshops link https://bit.ly/NPOwer2023Workshops.
Thank you for considering our invitation. We look forward to working with you to improve the lives of those affected by disasters.
Best regards on behalf of HIAS and by extension Foresee Foundation/NPOwer.
