On the on occasion of “World Refugee Day”, UNHCR and HIAS would like to extend an invitation to an online information session to discuss how we can advance collaborative and inclusive approaches to support those who have fled their homes. World Refugee Day has been designated by the United Nations as the day to honor refugees around the globe. It celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.  

When: Tuesday, 20 June 2023, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

‍What: UNHCR will provide information about the protection of refugees, including who is a refugee, why do refugees need protection, as well as the UNHCR mandate. HIAS will share information about their mandate and services in Sint Maarten and the Caribbean.
